Church Organization and Programs

Active Living Fellowship is a non-denominational, full gospel church located in the heart of the Fox River Valley . Non-denominational indicates that we are not aligned with any particular church organization. Full gospel signifies that we believe that all the gifts, ministries, offices and doctrines recorded in the Bible are for the Church today.

We endeavor to allow the Holy Spirit to lead each of us into our unique purpose and destiny as He leads the Church as a whole in its particular purpose and destiny.  We desire both purpose and purpose and destiny. Purpose by itself is sterile, that is it only a means to a greater end but destiny is the principle thing. We each have an exceptional destiny awaiting our discovery and fulfillment. This destiny includes, but is not limited to, what is commonly referred to as Heaven. The church also has a distinctive destiny that goes far beyond the salvation of the world.

Our weekly activities involve youth programs, ladies and men’s functions, bible studies and development programs such as “The Better You” and “Knitting Hearts Together”. We are planning to launch a child care facility in the fall of 2012 to minister to the needs of families with young children.

Church Focus

Active Living Church is focused on the ministry and development of the entire church body, individually and collectively. Christianity is not so much about the study and implementation of church doctrine, rules and rituals as it is about discovering the nature and love of Jesus and learning to appropriate this nature into our lives and dispense it to others through the life He gives us.

Jesus said that, you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. This has usually been interpreted to say that the “truth” that sets us free is biblical knowledge about, God, His plan and salvation as understood by the formal teachings of various religions. But Jesus also said, I am the…truth. To know truth is really about knowing Jesus.

To those that truly know Jesus two simple instructions provide the basis for Christianity.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The truth that sets us free is not factual knowledge about the Bible or the dogma of any particular religion but rather godly knowledge about who He is and who we are in Him. Instead of trying to learn and apply religious ideas, rules and forms, the simplicity of truth in love changes us without great effort or continual struggle.

The reality of heaven is not something we should have to wait until death to discover. What is typically called Heaven is real and can be experienced in increasing measure as we learn and grow in Him. We were not designed to live a life of continual frustration and spiritual confusion. We were designed to be powerful, overcoming instruments of His will in this world and in the world to come.

To this end we seek to discover and walk in the will of God for His Body and for each member of that Body in particular. We are spiritual beings in earthly bodies with a great potential to discover and dispense the love of God. God’s desire is to reveal who He is through His Body to the world so that the Kingdom of God may come to earth in all of its potential, peace, power.

Church History

Active Living Church originated from a series of home bible studies and meetings. A group of interested individuals from various Christian backgrounds decided to get together to seek spirituality based on bible teaching rather than religious dogma. These meetings eventually grew into Active Living Church .

Through the years God has brought forth amazing miracles and divine manifestations as we seek to understand the God of the Universe from His perspective. We relate to our community in a number of ways and through various programs and outreaches. Our current facility was built by Church members on Airport Road in Menasha.
